Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson are evicted because they have no money on Christmas Eve.
After a few small confrontations with thieves, Peter happily spends Christmas with his family at Aunt May's house.

Spider-Man agrees to work for Silver Sable again, but first he is forced to face Puma, still gripped by honor problems for the debt he owed to him.
Attention shifts to Prowler and Rocket Racer, who end up collaborating.
Spider-Man is also attacked by will-o'-the-wisp and discovers that those attacks are due to the service of the Bugle who accuses him of being a thief.
He retrieves the item Silver Sable wanted, but Rocket Racer and Prowler also attack him, deeming him a thief.
The Sandman also joins the battle, which continues until Silver Sable clears up the misunderstanding.
Peter brings the photos of the day to Jameson, to clear him of the charge, but he refuses.
Eventually it is revealed that Jameson has been replaced by the Chameleon.
