Comic version, rather faithful to the novel, of the fantasy novel written by J.R.R. Tolkien, who later inspired "The Lord of the Rings".
There isn't much to add about the story, given the worldwide diffusion of the novel and the movie adaptation in 3 movies by Peter Jackson.
Bilbo Baggins accompanies a group of dwarves and the wizard Gandalf to a rare stone guarded by a dragon.
During the journey Bilbo meets a variety of characters who live in Middle-earth: Trolls, Orcs, Elves, Giants and Monsters of various kinds.
The adventure will be successful but there will also be losses, including Thorin, the exiled king of the dwarves.
If I may make a note, I've never liked comics with too much written text and in this edition they really went overboard.
I understand the complexity of the subject and the respect for the original work, but there is a limit to everything!
Nothing to complain about the graphics: David Wenzel shows impressive pictorial skills.
