Charles Augery is captured by the natives and brought before Jade, their new goddess.
Jade doesn't seem to remember her past, except vaguely.
When Charles mentions Lady Nelson to her, Jade locks him and Lord Nelson in a pit.
Charles tells the Lord how he met his wife and helped her look for them.
When they are received by King Kavi Mobo, demanding information, they have been arrested.
Lady Nelson is stripped naked and sacrificed to the King in a magical ritual.
In a flashback to her past, the girl's name is finally revealed: Miranda Neuville.
Lord Nelson manages to escape and tries to awaken Jade's memories, to no avail.
Jade reveals that he's Pipiktu, before sacrificing him in a magical ritual.
With a potion, she pushes him to amputate his arm, returning the limb in exchange to Kemono, her lover among the natives.
During the ritual, Charles Augery steals the Black Pearl.
