Orisha was born in Wakanda and was chosen to become a priestess of a secret cult, mystically linked to nature.
When she turns 18 she decides to leave Wakanda and travel the world.
In New York, in the 1920s, she meets a man from Harlem and falls in love.
From their love Takhar was born, but his father died before his birth.
Orisha meets Sergei Kravinoff and begins a relationship with him.
To help him overcome his personal depression after the collapse of 1929, she teaches him the spiritual path she learned in Wakanda.
Kravinoff is negatively affected, but little Takhar becomes more attached to him than to his mother.
Meanwhile, Mary Jane helps Peter overcome his inner demons.

The Huntress (Orisha) faces her son Takhar, to protect Peter and Mary Jane.
Orisha manages to bring Takhar to his senses by sacrificing herself to save Mary Jane.
In the finale, however, Orisha is seen emerging from the tomb again.
