The Sandman joined the Avengers, but adults and the press still consider him a criminal.
To redeem himself he attacks paramilitary terrorists and the Avengers intervene to help him.
Captain America, however, accuses him of imprudence and he resigns.
The story ends with the return of the Black Fox.

Thanks to Mr. Lumpkin, Aunt May's new boyfriend, she and the Parkers, along with Kristy, are invited to an Alicia Masters exhibition.
Sub-Mariner (in the Oracle entrepreneur phase) also takes part in the event.
Namor buys a statue of himself.
Even if not invited, Choundy, Doctor Morgan and the other members of the gang of the "Headmen" (old enemies of the Defenders) also participate, intending to take the body of Spider-Man for the head of Dr. Morgan.
As soon as they attack they find the Human Torch facing them, which is joined immediately afterwards by Spider-Man.
Together they defeat the gang, while Kristy meets Peter Rasputin (Colossus), getting a crush on him.

Kristy finds Peter at a play, always accompanied by Peter Paker.
When the show's protagonist transforms into a monster, Spider-Man confronts and defeats him.
But his partner, a painter who empowers him, transports him to safety.
His assistant is a mutant named Bora, whom Colossus has already faced but now remembers suffering from amnesia.
