A sect called "The Avengers" is killing the landowners of a valley that once belonged entirely to the Sutton family.
During the “gold rush” the lands were distributed to new owners.
Suspicions fall on Mr. Sutton, seeking revenge, but Tex senses that someone else is involved.
His investigations focus on Mr Donner and May-Ling, Sutton's housekeeper.
Donner is revealed to be Sutton's son, who was presumed dead years earlier.
Tex and Kit manage to stop the members of the sect, who flee after the death of their leaders.
