Homer and Marge discover that Lisa suffers from middle child syndrome.
To solve the problem Homer adopts Nelson.
Nelson turns out to be a much better man of the house than him, so Homer begins to think about how to get rid of him.
When the elementary school children have become too obese, since Nelson no longer steals their snack money, Homer makes a deal with Principal Skinner.
Nelson is adopted by Willie the Gardener and everything goes back to normal.
