After the battle with Despot (Isaiah King), Stormwatch forces are reduced and Weather-Man is forced to marshal reserves when a new threat arises.
The new team includes Swordsman, the team leader from Canada, Swallow, from Tibet, Flint, from Kenya and a native called Comanche.
On the mission they are accompanied by a professional photographer, Nick Chaplin.
While Stormwatch hunts the scientist responsible for the threat, Stormforce must neutralize a deadly virus.
Stormwatch is put in great difficulty by criminals with powers.
Meanwhile Chaplin discovers Dr. Martin Krug's secret laboratory.

Synergy is called by a potentially gifted person to activate her powers.
Melanie Fulbright has been warned by Providence, who has predicted the death of her family if she doesn't get her powers back.
However, Providence reveals to Synergy that, if Melanie gets her powers back, she will cause the death of millions of people.
In the end, Synergy refuses to activate her powers, disobeying Skywatch's orders.

They are attacked by a terrorist super-group called the Fist of Heaven.

Weather-Man gathers some of the Stormwatch members to come to their aid.

Battalion leads the Stormwatch team of Winter, Fuji, Hellstrike, Fahrenheit and Flashpoint into Iraq, but they arrive too late.
They team up with the Mossad to investigate the Fist of Heaven and uncover a plan to use the stolen weapons.
The team is forced to split up: Most of the group heads to Serbia, where Winter manages to foil the attack.
Flashpoint, with its questionable methods, sets out on the trail of the kidnapped recruits.
