Science fiction story set in space.
Morgana and Merlin, with the help of Red (an alien with the appearance of a rat) work for the Great Library, built on Jupiter's satellite Europa and directed by Sophia.
They must face the Presbyter, in the service of Emperor Brom, for control of the Arcana, small pyramids that hide great powers.
The main champion of the Presbytery is called Voortt and controls 5 arcana, while Sophia has 4.
Emperor Brom also fears the return of the legitimate heirs to the throne, who should have died years earlier in a fire, Alix and Thor.
Morgana is actually Alix, but she still doesn't know that Voortt is her brother Thor.
Red reveals that he knows the hiding place of the last arcana and leads Morgana and Merlin to Krritt, his planet of origin.
Morgana and Red meet Red's old master, who tells how his people became the private army of the previous Emperor Darius (Alix and Thor's father).
While Morgana rests, Red goes away with his master and takes his place, cutting off his head in an ancient ritual of sacrifice.
Red leads Morgana to an ancient temple, where the arcana is hidden, but they are joined by Voortt.
Red activates the arcana, transforming the ice that envelops Krritt into water and overwhelming Voort.
