Story set partly in the past and partly in the present.
During the first days at the Xavier Institute Wolverine meets a child, suspected of being a mutant.
When Xavier probes him with his powers, he decides not to admit him to the school.
In reality the child is possessed by a demon.
When the demon manifests itself, attacking the X-Men, Ghost Rider senses its presence and intervenes to stop it.
In the present, Wolverine and Ghost Rider are drawn back by the same demon, who killed the woman who raised and protected the child.
