Hong Kong, 1970.
Dr. Tsung is doing genetic research at a private center when an explosion kills his colleague, his wife and his daughter.
The only survivor is a newborn baby, who he adopts and names Ethan McCain, aka Sigma.
He manages to get him transferred to the United States thanks to the help of Admiral Cray (father of Deathblow) and Miles Craven.
After finishing the story of the origins, Dr. Tsung has to witness the kidnapping of his wife and daughter (the new family he made in the USA), due to Damocles.
Damocles prepares to start his engine of the Apocalypse on the Moon, but all the Earth's Esps leave to stop him.

Sigma stabilizes Team7's Gen powers.
Team7 and Sigma combine their powers to enhance Deathblow, in order to rival Damocles.
In the end Michael Cray must sacrifice himself to drag Damocles into a portal to annihilation.
After passing through the portal, Deathblow finds his dead ex-wife, Gaby.
With them are also all his fallen comrades and they pass together to the next level of existence.
