John Lynch takes Gen13 to a shopping mall to have fun.
Grunge eats something that is bad for him and passes out.
He awakens in a fantasy world, with his only guide being Freefall, transformed into a fairy.
The journey begins in the world of Archie Andrews (Archie Comics character, created in 1941 by Bob Montana).
Grunge leaves Riverdale to reach the Valley of the Dolls and meets the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the way.
He continues into the woods, where they meet Fone Bone (protagonist of the series of the same name created in 1991 by Jeff Smith), whom they save from a monster.

Backlash, Taboo and Jodi are taken to the secret base of PSI, a government agency for monitoring ESP.
In command is Antonio Giovanni, Slayton's old acquaintance.
Giovanni proposes to the trio to work for the PSI, an organization created as an alternative to Stormwatch to exclusively protect US interests.
The proposal is non-negotiable, but before accepting they are attacked by Litith's mercenaries.
Once the criminal ESPs have been defeated, they remain with the PSI.

Blackbird decides to stay with Wearing and the Wetworks until he finds his sister Pilgrim.
During another attack by the Dopplers, as the mimetic monsters faced in the previous chapter are now called, Pilgrim reappears, helping to defeat them.
Wearing informs them that the child Blackbird was protecting is still alive and in danger.
The team catches up to him and faces the Dopplers again.
Blackbird reveals that he is a werewolf, like his sister, as cannot transform.
Analyzing the fallen Dopplers, Mother discovers that they are controlled by Wayne and Lady Feign.
