Spiral reveals that she contributed to the creation of the new Psylocke because she was at Mojo's service.
Thanks to the bionic eyes installed by Mojo in her old body, which Kwannon got rid of before dying, the X-Men discover what happened.
Matsuo wanted to bring his beloved Kwannon back to health after she fell off a cliff.
Betsy Braddock's body had emerged from the Perilous Seat in a comatose state and her mind seemed lost forever, so it was the perfect body into which to transfer Kwannon's spirit.
With the help of Spiral and the Mandarin they managed to exchange the two bodies.
Psylocke reaches Kwannon's tomb, where she finds Matsuo, who removes the remains of her beloved's spirit from her mind.

Sabretooth tells Rogue about his first meeting with Gambit, in Paris.
Gambit was only 17 years old and was trying to be admitted into the Thieves' Lodge, with the training of his older brother Henri.
Sabretooth is tasked with recovering a necklace stolen by Genevieve, the robber's young wife.
Gambit seduces the girl, intending to rob her.
The young mutant succeeds in his aim, but Sabretooth kidnaps both Henri and Genevieve, forcing him to save only one of them.
Gambit choose his brother Henri.

Mystique confronts her children (Nightcrawler, Graydon, and Rogue) in the place where Rogue's powers first manifested.
She reveals that she personally threw the newborn Kurt Wagner off the cliff and only discovered many years later that he had survived.
She did it out of fear of being lynched.
Mystique attempts to kill Graydon, but fails.
When she and Nightcrawler are in mortal danger and Rogue can only save one of them, she avoids the choice by letting herself fall into the void.
Note: In the initial intentions of Chris Claremont, the creator of the modern X-Men, Kurt was always supposed to be Mystique's son, but she was supposed to be the father.
Marvel management didn't like the idea very much, pushing the author to leave his characters.
