In a pub they are attacked by British counter-intelligence agents, led by a former colleague of Lynch's.
The character of Mardy (the head of counterintelligence) is a clear reference by the authors to Mother, the head of the secret service in the TV series "The Avengers".

During a mission in Russia Frostbite, Evo and Sublime are left behind.
The three arrive in a ghost town, populated by ESP children created by Russian scientists.
Noticing the similarity to their own experiences, they convince them to rebel.
Shortly afterwards the rest of DV8 returns to save them, having immobilized Threshold.
