Gina DeMedici, of the Puritans, is captured by Zealot, but when the Demonite troops come into action she manages to escape.
Her escape is short, because she ends up in the hands of the Wildc.a.t.s led by Grifter.
Both Puritans' bombs are deactivated.

Lord Emp's ship is about to crash to Earth, as it was supposed to.
The Wildc.a.t.s begin to return to the present, but Max Cash remains behind.
Gina DeMedici takes advantage of this to attack him and damages his reentry device, so he is forced to take the woman's, abandoning her in the past.
At the last moment, Max is joined by Stratos, Kheran deputy commander and Zealot's lover, who is dragged into the future with him.
Max also stops in Roman times, saving Olympia Atreidae from death.
Returning to the present, after saying goodbye to Olympia, Max Cash is killed by an unknown assassin.

Max dies in front of his brother Cole, who wants revenge.
Grifter tracks down the killer and discovers that she is a Coda, a descendant of Gina DeMedici, who has passed down her desire for revenge over the millennia.
La Coda is arrested, but Olympia kills her in prison.

Grifter becomes the leader of the Wildc.a.t.s' reserve team, consisting of Majestic, Ladytron, and Savant.
While they are still settling in they are attacked by the Halo building, which comes to life.
Majestic manages to build a device to remove the entity that controls it from the building.
They discover he is Mr. White, a criminal who disappeared during the war with the New York crime wanted by Tao.
After the battle Savant receives a letter in which Tao reveals that he is still alive, given that his place had been taken by a hypnotized Mr. White.
