The Doctor disintegrates Italy, stranding it in space while the planet continues to spin, and in doing so eliminates the capital of the blue aliens.

Caitlin researches the pop song “Happy to be Happy” online.
She ultimately concludes that it is a meme, which risks destroying our society.
She decides to confront the singer Candi directly, but is protected by Mr. Majestic.
Caitlin manages to slow him down until Candi intervenes.
The singer admits to being a sentient meme, but after arguing with Caitlin, she agrees to end her social experiment.

Jack Carter, Wildstorm's version of John Constantine, is dead.
Jakita had a relationship with him in the 80s and convinces the others from Planetary to go to the funeral.
Many British heroes from the 80s are present at the function, including Death, Sandman, Swamp Thing and the Doom Patrol (among them, Grant Morrison himself, author of many of their stories).
Jakita wants to see where Jack Carter died, but Snow and Drummer discover that it was a set-up.
A twisted version of Superman appears on the scene, crazed and a pedophile, seeking revenge against Carter.
Jack Carter surprises everyone by appearing behind the superhero and killing him.
After saying goodbye to Jakita, he disappears into the London fog.
