When he threatens to retire, Nick Fury appoints him as deputy director of SHIELD.
Captain America and Nomad begin patrolling the streets together.
In a short interlude we see Jeff Mace, dying from a tumor. He was once known as the Patriot.

Vision takes command of the Avengers, in the absence of the owners.
On the Moon, Quicksilver and Kristal search for an Earth nanny for little Luna.
Upon the return of the other Avengers from the Beyonder world, Vision proposes the establishment of a new group on the West Coast, entrusting it to Hawkeye.
After the announcement, he informs the others of a new threat, the Black Specters (the female part of the Badoon).

Snowbird, aka Narya, is contacted by the Norse Gods she is related to, who threaten to punish her for not stopping Sasquatch, also a Norse divine creature.
Alpha Flight is attacked by a man in armor, who is easily defeated, but Sasquatch risks losing control.
Soon after the fight, Snowbird arrives, attacking him, revealing that he is possessed by the spirit of the original Norse demon.
Snowbird kills him by ripping out his heart, then informs the team of the threat of the Beasts of the North (Sasquatch is one of them).
