Magneto intercepts the van taking Charles Xavier to prison, but he refuses to escape.
The X-Men encounter the surviving Krakoan people in the Glowing Room, created by the Phoenix.
Fifteen years have passed for them and they have become a peaceful people.
Krakoa intends to return to the Glowing Room, but first Exodus, then Apocalypse, try to prevent it.
Exodus is defeated by Apocalypse, who in turn is defeated by the X-Men and convinced to go off on his own.
During the battle, Volt, the mutant in the service of Doctor Doom, steals a seed from the island of Krakoa that came from the other dimension.
The Krakoan People return to the Glowing Room.
In the finale we see Apocalypse reaching Arrako, where Orc await him, and Mystique kills Mother Virtuosa.
Charles Xavier, locked in the prison built by Reed Richards and Tony Stark, reveals to be able to go out freely with his mind, without anyone noticing.

The secret was kept thanks to Charles Xavier, who erased the memory from the two women and from himself.
Nightcrawler can't forgive his mothers, but ends up living with what happened.
A small revenge for Chris Claremont, who after many years sees his plan on Nightcrawler's origins recognized, even if it is not clear why Kurt resembles the demon Azazel so much.

Jean Grey, Phoenix, brings a sun back to life in Shi’Ar space, saving millions.
After seeing the X-Men move on with their lives without him, Charles returns to his body and seemingly dies.
A few days later, Charles Xavier's comatose body regains consciousness in an ambulance as he is being transferred.
