Peter Parker works as a university assistant.
Ringer sneaks into the Repairman's lair, hijacked by the police, to retrieve his repaired suit.
He is attacked by a very strong mysterious man (The Beetle), who captures him.
Peter Parker asks secretary Debbie for an appointment.
The Beetle blackmails Ringer into attacking Spider-man.
Ringer is defeated and Spider-man saves him from the explosives in his costume.
The Beetle prepares to strike.
Classic Spider-man adventure, linear and a bit soapy.
Byrne's style is recognizable, even if still a bit raw.

Quiet day for the Fantastic Four.
Reed and Ben go out into town, while Sue stays at home to play with Franklin.
Johnny participates in a car race, where he flirts with the beautiful Lorrie, a redhead.
The quiet is soon interrupted by the plans of Nicholas Scratch, a sorcerer son of Hagatha Harkness, exiled to a dark dimension by his mother.
Scratch senses a bond with Franklin and manages to break through.
Sienkiewicz's style is very far from the abstract style that made him famous, but it's not bad.
The story flows pleasantly, too bad for having divided it into two books.
