Iron Man suspects there is something wrong with her and begins to investigate.
Stratosfire is actually Sandy Vincent and lives with her friend Barb (their relationship is not well understood in the story, but an intimate relationship can be suspected).
Barb is not convinced of Roxxon's good faith, who in fact uses her friend to sabotage competitors in South America.
Barb turns to Tony Stark, but doesn't have time to intervene because she is killed.
Stratosfire rebels against her masters and becomes an environmental terrorist.
Iron Man tries to stop her, failing.
Sunturion intervenes to help him, miraculously surviving their first fight, who still works for Roxxon.

Furious begins to investigate, aided by Scott Lang, aka Ant-Man.
On the Hammer Industries server, he discovers that Taskmaster had stolen his technology when he was in New York.
Iron Man also gets a list of who has benefited from his technology.
Thanks to a device of his own invention, he searches for the criminals and neutralizes their armor.
The first to be attacked is Stilt-Man, tracked down during a theft.
Immediately after it is Mauler's turn, who gives him the armor without a fight.
The last opponent of the episode is the Controller, who turns his slaves against him.
When one of them is killed, Iron Man loses control and defeats him.

They help each other out of the jungle and back to base.
Note: Over the years, as has happened with other Marvel characters, the character's origins have shifted over time based on the time of publication.
Originally, Tony Stark was wounded during the Korean War and Jim Rhodes was not connected.
In this version he is wounded in Viet-Nam, the war ended in 1975 with the US withdrawal.
