He asks Tom Thumb (the Silver Age Atom) for help, but only manages to give him a suit to hold more exhibits.
In the finale, Tom discovers that he also has cancer.

Starfox is relaxing with a beautiful alien, Heater, in his spaceship.
They are attacked by another spaceship, from Aalbort of Aakon, which asks for help from the Avenger.
Aalborg is attacked by Azunbul Xibar, a barbarian conqueror and his army.
Starfox manages to convince the conqueror to enter another reality, where he will be able to face a powerful army similar to his own.
Only later does he explain that he has sent him to face himself.

American Eagle, a Native American super-hero, steps in to stop white supremacists, the Knights of St. Virgil, from disrupting an African-American charity dinner in Washington.
The next day, Dr. Kobleskill, a leader of the black community, organizes a demonstration against racism, but loses control.
Kobleskill is revealed to be the Peacemaker, endowed with supernatural strength.
American Eagle manages to stop him, convincing him to surrender.
