Unsuccessful X-Men story set in the Shi'ar Empire.
Protagonist Sunspot, who is contacted by Deathbird for a secret mission.
Sunspot informs Cannonball and gathers a secret team of X-Men: Banshee, Forge, Boom-Boom, Armor, Heather Tucker, Marrow, and Strong Guy.
They must track down Deathbird herself and the young Empress Xandra (daughter of Charles Xavier and Lilandra), who have disappeared.
The mission is successful, but they discover that it is a test organized by Xandra herself, with the complicity of her telepaths and seers, Oracle and Delphos.
The only disappearance is Deathbird, but Xandra removes the memory from the mind of the X-Men.
The only positive note of the short history are the drawings by Francesco Mobili, excellent.
