Loki decides to hit Thor by giving special powers to a deadly criminal.
His choice falls on Crusher Creel, who is serving a prison sentence.
Creel receives the power to be able to transform his body into any substance he comes into contact with and absorb the strength of those around him.
He can easily break out of prison.
The character of Mister Hobbs is introduced, a reporter who will return often in the future.
Thor tracks down the Absorbing Man, but his power is too great and he manages to escape him.

The fake Spider-Man contacts the Avengers and pushes them into a pyramid modified by Kang, the Temple of Tirod.
The Avengers are about to get the worst of Kang's robot and traps, but the real Spider-Man steps in to save them.

Tales of Asgard.
Preparations continue for the departure of the Asgardian space mission to avoid Ragnarok.
Thor turns to Sage Morduk for a map to guide them in their search.
Morduk also gives him the mystical "Hand of Truth", a glove that forces those who touch to tell the truth.
Thanks to the glove Thor unmasks Braggi, chosen by Loki to accompany them, but intending to kill Thor.
Loki, of course, recognizes the glove and avoids shaking his brother's hand.
