On Earth, Thor confronts Magnir and Brona, holders of the Living Talismen.
Meanwhile, Forsung, the third Enchanter brother, directly challenges Odin.
Odin accepts the challenge, but in exchange takes away the powers of all Asgardians and Forsung of his brothers.
Thor manages to defeat Magnir and Brona, without powers, but then find themselves stranded on Earth.

Scarlet Witch reveals her true android appearance and teams up with her fellow Ultroids against the Avengers.
All the Avengers are captured, except Black Widow and Captain America.

The two fugitives are also captured, but only Captain America reaches the comrades in the stasis tubes, where Ixar wants to steal their powers to upgrade his Ultroids.
Ixar tells of being the last survivor of an alien race decimated by an intergalactic war.
In the end, only the androids resisted the radiation from the war... and Ixar.
Ixar infused his consciousness into a supercomputer, leading the Ultroids to Earth.
Goliath manages to escape by reducing his size, then frees the others.
The Avengers manage to fend off the Ultroids, but then they are all absorbed into a giant robot controlled directly by Ixar.
Hawkeye discovers that Ixar is actually the mayor, posing as a prisoner.
Black Widow forces him to surrender, threatening to kill him (as she is not yet bound to the Avengers oath).
