Odin, after having triumphed against Forsung, returns to Asgard furious with his son Thor, even if it is not clear why.
The official cause is the usual refusal to return to Asgard immediately.
Odin decrees that Thor be stripped of all his divine powers and exiled to Earth.
Mjolnir is also deprived of all power.
Thor is forced to look for a job and enters Ringmaster's circus as a strongman.
His stage name is Thor ...
Ringmaster is organizing a robbery with his Circus of Crime and uses Thor's strength (still higher than normal), hypnotizing him.

Volstagg has been separated from the other Asgardian warriors and stands before Mogul's sister.
The woman pretends to give in to his charm to lure him into a trap, but Volstagg drags her with him.
In the dungeons he must face the Mutaurus, which he manages to defeat thanks to Mogul's weapons found in a warehouse.
Meanwhile, on the battlefield, the clash has begun.
