Reed Richards continues to work on the Cosmic Cube.
Diablo is working on the philosopher's stone, but is being thwarted by other contemporary wizards.
Diablo is imprisoned by the other wizards with a spell involving the 4 elements.
Diablo finds a way to escape into the future by taking advantage of the Fantastic Four.
Diablo kidnaps people dear to the members of the Fantastic Four to lure them into the past: Dr. Storm, Johnny's current girlfriend, Ben Grimm's mother and Reed's sister.
The Fantastic Four and General Ross go to the past to save hostages by disguising themselves as circus performers.
The disguise is soon discovered, but the Thing still manages to free Diablo.
I Fantastici Quattro aiutano i maghi del passato contro Diablo.
Diablo is defeated and destroyed by Reed's sister, empowered by Diablo himself.
