First Annual of the Avengers (commercial value in 2022 $ 875.00).
The Mandarin wants to conquer the world, thanks to a new weapon capable of unleashing hatred on those affected by it.
To put his plan into practice, he hires a group of supervillains, enemies of the Avengers: the Swordsman, the Living Laser, the Enchantress and the Executor, Power Man.
When the Living Laser breaks out of prison, Iron Man alerts the Avengers.
At the base there is also Thor, hunting for Amora and Skurge.
Nick Fury asks the Avengers for help to thwart the plans of the supervillains, without knowing who is behind those machinations.
Captain America organizes teams to deal with threats.
Iron Man, Goliath and Wasp stop the Swordsman and Power Man in South America, where they threaten a city with a giant sword.
Hercules and Scarlet Witch take on the Enchantress and the Executor in the Middle East.
Thor and Hawkeye face the Living Laser and Ultimo, the automaton of the Mandarin.
Captain America and Quicksilver track down the Mandarin's hideout, orbiting in space, warning the other Avengers.
The whole team defeats the Mandarin and destroys its orbital base.
There are some errors in the translation, quite glaring:
Iron Man calls Hank Pym "Mountain Man", not Giant Man.
Captain America met Nick Fury in World War I, rather than World War II.
I guess the translator in charge wasn't much of a comic book reader!
