The Avengers return to base, where they find Yellowjacket and Wasp just returned from the Honeymoon.
Henry Pym explains that he has given up the power to grow big, believing it to be the cause of his schizophrenia.
However, he has perfected a better formula, which is secured together with the new costume that Janet had given him.
Soon after, the Avengers are lured abroad to save Black Widow, on a mission for SHIELD.
Hawkeye is left behind because he is too involved.
Soon after, Clint receives a message from Natasha, who is being held captive on Coney Island.
In order to save her, Clint drinks Pym's formula and becomes the new Goliath.
Black Widow has been captured by Egghead, the Puppet Lord and the Mad Thinker, who have teamed up.
An android is sent against Goliath created by the Mad Thinker and magnified by the Puppet Lord, who holds Black Widow in the palm of his hand as a shield.
Goliath manages to stop him and saves Natasha.
