In this episode of Carmilla, alias Marcia Karnstein, immortal vampire, the relationship with the beautiful Sarah is narrated in the 19th century.
Carmilla is Sarah's lady-in-waiting, but manages to seduce her and they become lovers.
In the background we can sense her vampire nature, until one day Sarah finds a portrait of Marcia from two centuries earlier.
Female version of Dracula, Carmilla inspired a series of films from the 70s onwards, of which the most successful, in my opinion, is "The Vampire Lovers", by Roy Ward Baker, from 1970.
