Odan-Urr is studying to become a Jedi, with Master Ooroo.
Meanwhile Gav and Jori Daragon live peacefully in the Koros system, unaware of their powers, until their parents accidentally die in the middle of a battle.
Forced to flee, they reach the heart of the nascent Sith Empire and fall into the hands of Naga Sadow, who wants to become the new dark lord.
Naga Sadow challenges Ludo Kressh, but they are stopped by the spirit of their long-dead master, Marka Ragnos.
Naga Sadow increases his powers thanks to the ancient Sith machines and becomes the new dark lord.
Sensing Gav's power, he convinces Jori to escape alone and abandon him, in order to begin his training on the dark side.

No story from the comic book series prior to the Disney purchase (October 30, 2012) was recognized in the new continuity.
