This reprint proposes the story designed in 1975 by Manara and written by Castelli & Gomboli (later authors of Diabolik and Martin Mystère), distributed free of charge by the PSI newspaper l'Avanti in 1975, in 600,000 copies.
It tells the vicissitudes of Italian history, in the post-war period.
During a meeting of the Italian Extreme Right, a series of subversive actions were organized in 1969, to be attributed to the Left.
On 12 December 1969, the attack on the Banca Nazionale dell'Agricoltura in Milan, in Piazza Fontana, took place.
On the same day, two more bombs exploded in Rome, in the underpass of the Banca Nazionale del Lavoro and at the Altare della Patria.
All the bombs are attributed to anarchist movements and the news is supported by the main Italian newspapers, with the exception of Avanti and a few others.
On December 16, 1969, Giuseppe Pinelli fell from the window of the Milan police headquarters during an interrogation.
The newspapers and RAI indicate him as the perpetrator of the attacks and the death filed as a suicide.
On 25 December 1969, the body of Armando Calzolari was found, who had opposed the fascist subversive plan.
On September 15, 1970, two witnesses died in defense of the anarchist defendant Valpreda, i.e. Casile a Aricò.
On July 16, 1971, the taxi driver Cornelio Rolandi died, witness to the prosecution against the "suicide" Pinelli, from the unreliable principle.
On May 17, 1972, Commissioner Calabresi, who was investigating the massacre, was assassinated.
Despite these facts, the investigations continue, in the direction of the fringes of the Extreme Right.
On May 28, 1974, another bomb exploded in Piazza della Loggia in Brescia, but this time the attack was claimed by the Fascist group "Black Order".
On August 4, 1974, an attack took place on the "Itacus" train, once again claimed by the fascists.
Considering the original year of publication, all the massacres remain without culprits... Not that today the situation has been completely clarified!!
