Mythical transposition of the Battle of Thermopylae, created by Frank Miller, on which the 2006 movie of the same name was also based, with Gerald Butler, extremely faithful to this comic.
In 480 BC. Leonidas faces the Persian army of Xerxes at Thermopylae, flanked by his personal guard, made up of 300 Spartan warriors.
At their side was a Greek army of around 7,000 men, non-professional volunteers, against around 800,000 Persian soldiers.
The Spartan king's brave army held out for a week before being massacred, giving Greece time to prepare to resist.
This is without a doubt one of the best comics ever made!
