The Avengers from a million years ago return.
After a clash between Laufey, King of the Frost Giants, and Hyve, the Bringer of War, from the Negative Zone, Black Panther dies.
After the death of the first Black Panther, his people exiled themselves from all.
Phoenix is offended by Odin's disrespect for a teammate and pushes him away.
The break is final when, without asking her anything, Odin organizes their marriage.
Phoenix decides to stay on Earth anyway, for the love of this world.
Many years later she convinces Gea to accept Odin's court, to give the world a new champion.
Gaea reluctantly agrees.
She admits that she has given birth to many children with many gods (among them also some “talking trees”… Groot?), but doing it with Odin is a great sacrifice.
When it comes time to give birth, the Avengers must protect her from the attack of Laufey, seeking revenge.
Her icy touch mortally wounds the newborn Thor, but the power of the Phoenix brings him back to life and also gives him great power.
Thor stays with Odin, while Phoenix leaves Earth for the stars.

Thor has reached the top of the Himalayas to seek peace.
After the attack by the Masters of Evil he was no longer worthy to lift the hammer, which still continues to follow him.
Here he meets the Thunderer, the last survivor of K'un-Lun, who agrees to train him to become the next Iron Fist.
Thor strengthens himself by punching Mjolnir and then defeating the Thunderer, but the dragon of K'un-Lun is dead, so his fists are his only weapons.
Ready to get back into action, he is joined by the Ghost Rider and Ant-Man (Tony Stark).
