Axa is tasked by the inhabitants of the dome to contact another colony, hidden at the bottom of the sea.
Once she reaches the beach, she is attacked by some fishermen, but two sailors save her.
They offer to take her to the other shore, but are caught in a storm and sink.
Axa and Martin, the younger of the two sailors, manage to reach an island.
Here they are first attacked, then welcomed, by their elderly inhabitants.
They are all under the orders of Mr. Arcady, an old millionaire who lives isolated from the rest of the world.
The owner of the house tries to settle Axa with his nephew, to have offspring, but the two really fall in love and rebel.
Old Arcady dies trying to stop them, while Axa, Marcus and young Arkady leave the island on the family yacht.
The story is subdued and confusing, not up to the level of the character.
