Captain America and Falcon (flanked by Redwing, his hawk) foil a robbery.
The thieves work for a boss called "Face of Stone", which also works for Falcon's nephew, Jody Casper.
Jody is arrested but released for his relationship with Sam Wilson and the intervention of Captain America.
Stone Face thinks he went out for spying and sends his men to threaten him and his mother.
The criminals shoot Jody's mother, so Captain America and Falcon go after them.
Face of Stone and his gang end up in prison and Jody decides to change his life (his mother was only injured).

Captain America and Falcon offer to help Nick Fury and Dum Dum train.
Doctor Gorbo, a scientist from SHIELD, decides in the meantime to experiment on himself, to fascinate Julia, an agent he is in love with (and friend of Sharon Carter).
Gorbo transforms into a gorilla, but retains his intelligence and can return to human with an antidote.
Julia's refusal to return his love drives him to crime.
When he tries to sabotage an experimental drill, he is thwarted by Captain America, but they both fall into the chasm created by the machine, towards the center of the Earth.
