Captain America confronts Machete (not the one played by Danny Trejo, in Robert Rodruigez's film of the same name, released in 2010… but they look a lot alike!).).
Machete manages to escape, only to return later with two allies: Zaran (an old enemy of Shang-Chi) and Batroc (who, however, does not participate in the battle).
Cap must let them go, to save Nomad's life, also losing the shield.

Batroc, Machete and Zaran take the shield to Stane Industries, who buy it to duplicate it.
The same scientist works for Stane who, years earlier, accidentally created the alloy that makes up the shield, born working on the Vibranium.
Captain America tracks down the thieves, beats Batroc and makes the other two flee.

The Beyonder intervenes and, with his power, teleports Nebula and her men to another galaxy.
