Carol Danvers and Jim Rhodes want to take a vacation, but as they take the plane they are joined by Carol's sister, Lauri Vell, the Prosecutor.
She sought her out because on the Kree / Skrull capital planet, Throneworld II, their mother's genetic samples have disappeared.
The three reach the laboratory that kept them and face a creature called "The Slime", whose sole purpose is to eliminate the waste.
Oddly, he takes on the appearance of Mar-Vell, the first Captain Marvel, and attempts to take control of War Machine's armor and Lauri's hammer of prosecutor.
Believing that they have destroyed the creature, they return home, but someone controlled it.

Captain Marvel is attacked by a woman who looks like her and wears the costume she wore when she was controlled by Vox Supremo.
The clash (interesting in itself, but ruined by too many useless clouds) ends with the defeat of the unknown.
Carol takes her to Tony Stark and they discover that it is Phila-Vell, of the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Before collapsing (probably controlled by Vox Supreme, vanished from prison), Phila warns her that someone is hunting all the Marvels.
Captain Marvel catches up with Miss Marvel just in time, who has just been captured by three men and a woman in the same Vox costume.
