Reed Richards and Stingray explore the Romanche Trench, at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean.
They find a door and of course open it, freeing Natlus, the ancient Atlantean-Lemurian king, hence the term “Imperius Rex,” commonly used by Namor.
The two researchers are captured.
The other Fantastic Four come to their aid, but are easily defeated.
Sue Storm speaks with Namor, in prison, discovering the identity of the attacker.
Back at the bottom of the sea, Reed speaks with the ancient king and decides to let him go.
