The story begins with a flashback from 6 months earlier in the past, where Ivana Baiul's augments are training to hunt Caitlin Fairchild.
In the present Bobby and Bliss save Sarah from the rubble that buried her and together they infiltrate the Vatican.
The rest of Gen13 however manages to free themselves, thanks to a distraction caused by an argument between Roxy and Grunge.
Since they wear suits that inhibit powers, they have to tear them off to reactivate them.
Bliss and Caitlin manage to hack into the Vatican's computer and obtain their freedom through blackmail.

Marc Slayton and his daughter Jodi are prisoners of the Bloodmoon Kin.
Marc is tortured, only to have his blood tested, but when they discover that the Gen factor is not present in his blood, they test his daughter.
As they study the blood taken, Backlash breaks free and confronts them.
Dingo, tired of Bloodmoon's behavior, rebels and saves Jodi, who however manifests her powers.
