Star Wars: Dark Empire dal nr. 1 al 6
Original editor: Dark Horse Comics (under license from Lucasfilm Ltd)
publication date: January-June 1992

story: Tom Veitch
designer volume: Brian Gogolin
Six-issue miniseries, collected in a single volume, which tells the adventures of the protagonists of the "Return of the Jedi", 6 years later.
The rebels are still fighting the remnants of the Empire.
Luke Skywalker is lured by a disturbance in the force on Coruscant, in the old capital of the empire.
From here he is kidnapped and taken to the center of the Galaxy, where he finds Emperor Palpatine still alive.
His immortality is due to cloning and the dark power to transfer his spirit from one body to another.
The Sith convinces Luke to become his new apprentice.
Luke is convinced that he can resist the dark side and thus defeat the emperor.
Meanwhile, Leia Organa has also become a Jedi and has two children with Han Solo, her husband.
She too feels the influence of the dark side, but she manages to dominate it.
Reaching the heart of the Galaxy, she confronts the emperor face to face and manages to steal an ancient Jedi holocron from him.
Meanwhile, Luke manages to steal the software capable of controlling the new Destroyers of the Emperor.
Leia, Han and the others manage to escape from the emperor's planet, but Luke is left behind.
While Luke faces Palpatine in a duel, R2-D2 defeats the entire enemy fleet.
Palpatine defeats Luke and together they reach the Imperial fleet, where Leia joins Luke (along with the baby she is carrying) and finally defeat Palpatine.
The style is very reminiscent of Argentine techniques, such as the Eternauta, not my favorites.
