Magneto and Toad manage to return to Earth after being kidnapped by the Stranger.
They succeed in the enterprise thanks to the invention of Dr. Norris, an ambitious scientist in the service of Dane Whitman (the Black Knight).

Meanwhile, Hercules visits Mount Olympus but finds it mysteriously deserted.
