Donald Blake wakes up tormented by doubts about his origins.
He knows Thor existed before him, but he no longer understands the connection between them.
Odin perceives his anxieties and reveals the mystery to him.
Thor was a humble young god who kept getting into trouble.
Odin used his power to deprive him of memories and turn him into Dr. Blake, shortly before enrolling in medical school.

Quicksilver manages to free himself enough to call the Avengers.
While Magneto is busy getting him back, Dane Whitman breaks free and reveals that he has taken the place of his uncle, the first Black Knight, after promising to do good, not evil, with his abilities.
He even created a new winged horse in the lab, which he now mounts to join the Avengers.
Unfortunately when they see him they mistake him for his uncle and attack him.
After the battle they clear up and reach the castle, but Magneto has already left with his prisoners.
