Thor returns to Earth to look for Sif, whose traces have been lost.
In the center of New York is a strange cylinder of mystical energy and the army informs Thor that Sif has entered.
Thor joins her and finds himself transported to the distant future, where the Earth is inhabited by strange mutant demons.
Sif is their prisoner, but Thor manages to free her, and then both fall at the feet of the leader of the demons: Pluto.
Inside a laboratory lies a being in stasis, with an unknown power that Pluto would like to reach: Adam Warlock (but we still don't know!).

On the Collector's spaceship, the other Avengers manage to free themselves, causing chaos.
Iron Man manages to free Thor from the Collector's influence and returns to the spaceship just in time to save the others from its destruction.
Captain America proposes the Black Panther as the new member of the Avengers in his place.

Magneto controls the mutants in his service thanks to a telepathic mutant, created by his machines.
While Magneto heads to the city to conquer it with the help of Black Bolt, subjugated to the telepathic mutant, the other Inhumans manage to free themselves.
Black Bolt was just pretending and manages to defeat the telepathic mutant, but Magneto manages to escape.
