pencil and story: Guido Crepax

Fantasy story about the invasions in Lombardy by the French and the Spaniards.
Guido Crepax is very critical of any political action, be it protection or invasion.
The protagonist, Fosko (probable distortion of "vulgar", that is the people), initially seems indifferent to the new French invaders, who have come to protect the territory from never seen enemies.
Their behavior leads to the revolution.
Fosko is joined by three beautiful girls, who represent the ideals of the French Revolution: Equality, Liberty and Fraternity.
The character of Liberty, in Napoleonic costume, is played by Valentina.
Beautiful designs, for a cynical and always current vision of national and international politics.
