This sci-fi story is set in an alternate reality, where the Nazis have won the war.
The protagonist, Muriel Kampf (like the book written by Hitler), was adopted as a child by a general.
General Kampf commands the Empire's fleet of airships, but he is not interested in politics, only in his flying balloons.
Muriel suffers from a deep-rooted "Oedipus complex", which leads her to have premonitory dreams, often sexually based, about her father.
In one of these dreams he sees the destruction of his last and greatest airship and the death of his father.
Desperate she seeks help from a Freudian psychologist, aided by a telepathic mutant (mutants have taken the place of the Jews in this universe).
When her dream is about to come true, she intervenes and saves the lives of the rebels present on the vehicle, but not her father.
Pretty original story, with sequels that I don't have in my collection.
