Stand-alone story set in 1220 Spain.
While yet another crusade against the heretics is taking place, an alien spaceship crashes into the French Pyrenees.
The inhabitants of a small village begin to mysteriously disappear and the king decides to send a group of crusader knights and inquisitorial friars to investigate.
The expedition is under the command of the Baron of Mondragon, a robust veteran and two newly arrived young men: Theobald II of Champagne and Hugh of Blois (with his vassal Michel).
As soon as they reach the village they are informed that demons are attacking people.
The inquisitor friar immediately blames a heretic girl who lives in the forest and wants to burn her.
Not even when they too are attacked by demons does the friar change his mind.
During the night, just before the girl is burned at the stake, the aliens attack, killing many of the inhabitants, many of the knights, and the friars (not the chief, who is hidden).
Michel is abducted by aliens, while Theobald is seriously injured.
The Baron and Hugh, accompanied by the girl, set off in search of the demonic lair.
They find the spaceship and face the aliens, who use the abducted humans to reproduce (very similar to the monsters in "Alien").
Michel and another child from the village are saved by the girl and thanks to the sacrifice of the knights.
