"Ond"

Science fiction story, starring a man and an alien.
They are marooned on a desert planet, with only company being a giant computer that publishes millions of books by randomly combining words.
Bommmo, the alien, finds a book that exactly describes their present history, but with some spelling errors.
Every time he reads these errors, reality changes to match them.
The two castaways manage to leave on board a very small spaceship, but as soon as they get on board Bommmo reads that the man is leaving with a woman and he transforms accordingly.
The effect is temporary, but instead of the final word, the book says "ond"...

Heaven is home to all the gods worshiped on Earth, but they seem to be dormant.
Only when Lennon starts singing “Sgt. Pepper” heaven comes alive.

Short story about sadness.
A homeless man is paid to pose for some photos, inspired by the painting "The Old Guitarist" by Pablo Picasso.
They chose him for his sadness, but getting paid made him happy.
The photographer fires him, the homeless man becomes sad again and the photographer takes advantage of it, without paying him.

“Acherontia Atropos”

A man is hired as a cameraman for a snuff movie.
Before shooting, the producer introduces him to the man who will kill the protagonist of the film and the young actress.
The man decides to introduce himself to the girl and let her spend a carefree night.
He succeeds in his intent, having fun too, but when they reach the set, he discovers that he will be the protagonist of the gay film.
The girl, as he would have done, puts the music headphones on so as not to hear anything else and assures him that it is all fiction.

"The last tragic day of Gori Bau and Callipigia Sister"

Three friends, a boy and two girls, get together to play, like when they were children.
The boy has to obey the girls' orders.
The dark-haired girl, the most modest, orders him to take them by boat.
The blonde girl, the most perverse, orders him to undress.
The boy obeys and takes them to an abandoned merchant ship with a stormy sea.
The boat capsizes and the girls lose sight of him, only to find him waiting for them, naked, on the merchant ship.
However, the boy died in the shipwreck and was replaced by the Devil, who leads the merchant ship to Hell.

“Dedicated to Corto Maltese”

Short story dedicated to the most famous character of Hugo Pratt.
All the characters who participated in the Corto Maltese series are waiting for the protagonist on an island.
Corto Maltese, however, does not arrive.
Hugo Pratt, who died of cancer in 1995, had given all rights to the character to Cong SA, a Swiss company, effectively ceasing to draw him.
Manara, a great friend of Pratt, with whom he often collaborated, doesn't seem to have taken it well...
