pencil and story: Milo Manara

Freely inspired by the work of Lucio Apuleio, in this new comic version (next toPichard's edition of 1990).
The story remains almost the same, where poor Lucio finds himself transformed from a witch into a donkey.
Stolen by bandits, sold as a beast of burden, exploited as a sexual toy by a beautiful Roman matron.
Only the help of the gods (the goddess Ceres, to be precise) will make him return to his human state.
Milo Manara limits censorship to a minimum, unlike Georges Pichard.
