In fact, in 1901, Beatrice Banner was married to Robert Banner, but she traded him with her brother Samuel, becoming pregnant.
Robert kills Samuel while doing gamma-ray research, then hunts down his wife.
It is not said, but Robert Stern probably remarried, having other heirs.
In the present, Hulk and Vicky travel to hell beyond the green door and defeat the Chief.
Bruce Banner is revealed and Stern becomes human again, but there is someone else above him, possibly Brian Banner, but it is not confirmed.
The Thing and Walter Langkowsky (in Samson's body) manage to reach them in hell and bring them back to reality.
When they arrive, Bruce Banner has rejoined the Hulks again, seemingly balanced.
Well done ending, which closes the circle of a complicated saga but, in spite of the general trend of Marvel, of a high level.
