Daredevil begins his costumed career (yellow version, with red waistcoat) by hunting down the Fixer.
He easily defeats his men, after which the flashback to his origins begins.
We are in 1950 and Matt Murdock's father tries to convince his son to study, so as not to end up being a boxer like him.
Matt keeps his promise, but he also secretly trains to be as fit as he is.
Battling Murdock, his father, agrees to fight for the Fixer, having no alternative to step into the ring and earn a few bucks.
After signing the contract, Matt is hit by a truck while trying to save the life of an elderly passerby.
The truck was carrying toxic substances, which blinded the boy.
Matt discovers that he has developed a radar sense capable of making him "see" obstacles and all his senses have been enhanced.
He doesn't reveal his newfound powers to his college roommate, Foggy Nelson, his only friend.
Meanwhile Battling Murdock disobeys the Fixer, winning a match he had to lose.
That same evening Battling Murdock is killed.
Matt takes the news badly, but still manages to graduate with Foggy and they set up a law firm.
They hire the beautiful Karen Page as a secretary, who immediately impresses the blind lawyer.
Matt decides to put on a super-hero suit and hunt down the Fixer.
Daredevil manages to defeat the band of the Fixer, who dies of a heart attack during the battle.
Battling Murdock's killer Slade is arrested.
Compared to other stories of the period, Daredevil immediately reveals a greater depth of characters.
